If you’re a member of your school’s junior varsity cheerleading squad but hope to make the transition to the varsity team, consider some strategies that will improve your chances of getting to the next level. With a little dedication, you’ll be cheering on the “A” squad in no time. Determine if you’re ready for the added schedule and skills. As a member of the varsity squad, you may be required to participate in competitions, attend more games and practices and perfect additional routines and complex stunts. Weigh the added responsibilities to see if you’ll be able to juggle them with your schoolwork and other activities.
