Carpet cushions can extend the life and new look of your carpet and reduce wear. This can be especially important when installing a carpet to concrete, where damage from use tends to be greater. Installing the cushion requires that you glue the cushion foam directly to the perimeter of the room, to prevent its shifting beneath the carpet. Gluing the cushion to a concrete surface is not a difficult process, and can be completed quickly as long as you follow the proper installation procedure. Clean the concrete surface thoroughly. Sweep away any dirt and debris using a broom, and then wash the surface using a pH neutral concrete cleanser. For ingrained dirt and stains, use a stiff bristled brush. Rinse the surface of the concrete with clean water and allow it to dry.
