How Do You Glue Broken Wooden Chairs?

0

When wooden chairs break, you may not want to throw them out. The chairs can be glued back together to make them look good as new. It doesn’t matter if it is a broken sheet, spindle or leg, it can be fixed in a matter of minutes. Sand the broken edges that need glue. Do not sand a lot from the chair, just enough to smooth the edges. Fix a broken spindle or dowel rod on a wooden chair. Put a droplet of glue on both sides of the broken pieces and clamp them together until they dry. Place a line of glue around the rim of the top or bottom of the spindle and place in the holes of the chair. Mend a broken seat. Place a line of glue down the broken piece where it will be pushed together. Push the pieces together and place them in a vise or clamp until the glue dries. Repair a chair leg. Unscrew the leg from the bottom of the chair. Bend the leg slightly to open the broken pieces. Insert glue into the crevice in the leg. Set the leg in a vise or clamp and let the glue dry. Screw the leg back
