Please, do not give your terrapin cod liver oil unless you’re sure he has a vitamin A deficiency. It is not necessary as if you feed them the right diet they will get plenty of vitamin A. Too much vitamin A is as bad as not enough (and can even lead to the beak falling off!) and the symptoms are so much alike that vets oftentimes diagnose it the same but too little can be corrected and too much cannot, so err on the side of not enough. A proper diet would include whole live food such as feeder fish, earthworms, and gutloaded crickets.
