How Do You Give A Successful Speaking Presentation Or Workshop?
Your nerves are kicking in now that presentation time is a few hours away. You can barely focus on anything else. You have a strong outline. Now how do you GIVE a great presentation or workshop? Never fear! Just read on. This article is a continuation of my prior article “How To Draft an Effective Outline for Your Public Speaking Event.” Arrive at least 30 minutes prior to presentation start time. Be prepared for the unexpected. Parking problems may arise. You may need to make more copies of your handouts than necessary. If it’s your first time at the event, 30 minutes is definitely the bare minimum as you will need to get a lay of the land where you will actually be presenting. Bring your own materials and supplies or work out beforehand with your contact what the venue will be providing: paper, pens, etc. If you are doing a hands-on workshop that requires special materials, better safe than sorry…get them yourself and work out compensation or whatever is necessary afterwards. When
