Your feet take a lot of abuse and it’s not unusual that by the end of the day your feet may be not only tired, but swollen and aching. In addition to being up on your feet during the day, other things can compound the problem, including poorly fitting shoes, improperly cared for corns and calluses, and poorly trimmed toenails. A nice warm foot bath can be one of the best ways to relax and refresh your feet. You can treat yourself to a foot soak, or have someone treat you to one. Either way, you’ll be glad you did. If your toenails need to be trimmed, it would be a good time to do this before your foot soak. Once the toennails become soft it’s more difficult to do. Use toenail clippers to trim the nails, not scissors. What you can’t reach or can’t see, leave alone. Clip straight across, then gently file to smooth the edges.
