How Do You Give A Persuasive Speech?
Whether you need to convince a friend to help you with a chore, a boss to give you a raise or a boardroom to vote for your project, being able to give a persuasive speech is a key element to your agenda. Decide what your ultimate goal is and create an outline to help you reach it. Format an opening that is going to immediately draw your audience in and grab their attention. Use bullet points. Tell a story with facts complimentary to your goal, each one building on the other. Use examples if possible and reasons why your path is the best one. If you are in a full presentation setting, display your highlights on an overhead projector or white board. PowerPoint is an excellent program for a digital slide show.
