How Do You Give A Meaningful Yet Frugal Family Christmas Gift?
The times we live in are effecting everyone’s pocketbook. Perhaps you aren’t able to give what you normally do, or you can’t give anything at all. Maybe you don’t have money, but you have memories. Give them: write a letter! Concentrate on the person you want to bless. Gather your thoughts and put them in three categories: (a) your very first memory of the person; what was happening, how your felt when they first came into your life, (b) a recent memory associated with the person; how the person acted that blessed you, what character qualities they displayed in the situation, (c) what you hope and pray for their future, what they mean to you and how they enrich your life. Write these thoughts in a personal, handwritten letter. Handwritten letters are more personal and intimate and the special effort is appreciated.
