Windows XP Service Pack 2, or SP 2, is an upgrade to XP that increases the security features of XP. There are three ways to get the service pack, and many software programs require the pack to be installed before they will run on your computer. A Service Pack 2 update is available for all versions of Windows XP. Navigate to your control panel and click on “Automatic Updates.” Choose “Automatic” from the options given.
