How Do You Get Water Off A Pool Cover?
After your pool has been closed for the season, rain water may accumulate on the cover and cause it to sag. This put strain on your pool cover clasps or bungee cords and could be dangerous if one of them breaks. You should removed the water that has pooled on the top of your pool cover each time it rains. Begin by placing your sump pump along the side of the pool and placing the hose so that the water being pumped off of the cover will not re-enter the pool. Plug your sump pump into the extension cord and make sure the connecting point is not near the water. If you can, place the place where the cords are connected outside the pool area if your cord allows for it to reach. Also make sure your cords are not placed in an area where you can trip over them and fall. Lower the sump pump into the water with the hose extension.
