How Do You Get To Yellowstone National Park?
Yellowstone National Park is the first national park in the United States. It receives millions of visitors each year. Yellowstone is mostly located in the Northwest corner of Wyoming with portions in Montana and Idaho. The nearest major city is Salt Lake City, Utah. If you do not live close enough to drive to Yellowstone National Park, plan to fly in to a gateway airport. The closest major airport is in Salt Lake City, Utah. Alternatively many airlines fly into Bozeman and Billings, Montana; Jackson and Cody, Wyoming and Idaho Falls, Idaho. If you fly in to Salt Lake City or one of the closer airports plan to rent a car and drive to Yellowstone. Alternatively some visitors like to take bus tours. If you plan to visit Yellowstone in the winter be aware that you must enter the park from the North because the other access points are closed in the winter months.
