Neversoft’s 2006 skating-simulation game “Tony Hawk’s Project 8” features extensive stat tracking that accumulates data for every move that you perform. Once you perform a requisite number of impressive moves and tricks, the game’s stat tracker will assign you a rank. The most prestigious rank is “Rank 1,” but it is also the most difficult to obtain. Select “Career Mode” from the main menu and begin a new career. Skate around the first level, “Suburbia,” and look for “goals.” Goals are specific tasks assigned by photographers, filmmakers, skaters and townspeople. Keep your eyes peeled for stars over the heads of “NPCs” (non-playable characters), to find these tasks. Perform a task to earn a rank for that particular goal. Possible ranks range from “AM,” to “PRO,” to “SICK,” in order from least impressive to most impressive.
