How Do You Get Through The Winter Doldrums?
I hate this time of year so much that I always escape New York in February to someplace warm and tropical. Many friends I know do the same. But in the economy, many are putting off vacations not wanting to spend $2,000 on a plane ticket and accommodations for a week. So what to do? Get thee to the spa. Many spas are posting sales as an incentive to get harried, frazzled “I hate this economy” people in their doors. Take advantage of the sales by calling a spa and asking if there are any deals going on. Even if they’re not, I think it’s important to pamper yourself during the winter months with a massage and/or facial and a good long soak in the hot tub (just be sure to moisturize like crazy afterward because hot tubs are brutal on dryed-out, winter skin). Remember, the $80-$125 you’ll spend on a service is much cheaper than a week in Cabo. Spafinder lists all their best day spa deals around the country. Comments (2
