Long drives can be a huge pain to accomplish. Not only can they be a pain, but the drive can actually cause pain in the back and legs. So it’s always smart to find little ways to de-stress and make the journey slightly more comfortable and pleasant. Play you’re favorite music and sing along. Nothing helps rid stress like wailing off-key to your favorite all-time tune. The more stressed you are, the louder and more off-key you should sing. Use yummy snacks to help keep your energy levels up, and yummy drinks, non-alcoholic of course, to keep you hydrated. This helps raise your overall resistance to general stress. If there are other passengers in the car, play some games together. Try “License Plate Bingo”, “Slug Bug”, or “I Spy” to help pass the time. The quicker the trip seems to go, the less stressful it will be. Do driving stretches, this helps relax the muscles and makes a long drive less likely to result in a sore body. – Shrug your shoulders up and forward, then up and back. Rota
