How Do You Get The Secret Frog Ending In Chrono Trigger?
One of oddest endings in the classic Super Nintendo role-playing game Chrono Trigger, the “Frog” ending can only be found by playing the game all the way through a first time, and then fighting the ending boss earlier than normal on the second go-around. Play through the entire game a first time, defeating the final boss Lavos and receiving any of the other endings available. Start a new game using the “New Game +” feature, which becomes available after finishing the game a first time. Complete the first time-travel quest in the past, rescuing the queen from the the boss Yakra in the cathedral. After finishing the quest, take the time portal back to the year 1,000 A.D. Examine the shining blue dot next to the machine on the right side of the screen when you pop out of the time portal. A new portal will open, transporting Chrono and Marle to the year 1,999 A.D., where they will have to fight the final boss of the game.
