Bathe as you normally do, removing all loose dirt. Pour a small amount of baking soda into your hand and then rub the baking soda onto the problem areas where you want to remove the tanning lotion. It is best if your skin is damp before you do this so that the baking soda will develop a paste-like texture. Dampen your washcloth and begin to rub off the baking soda along with the excess tanning lotion. Scrub the affected area lightly in order to remove the excess lotion.
