How Do You Get Superglue Off Of A Laminate Counter Top?
Quick-drying superglue can be quite difficult to remove from any laminate counter top. But the task can be accomplished with the right products and tools. Acetone, found in nail polish remover and debonding solvents, is one ingredient that weakens the bond superglue has on almost any type of material. Gently scrape or try to pry off the dried glue from the counter top with a putty knife. Rub the remaining glue with a scrubber and hot water. Apply a small bit of nail polish remover or debonder if some superglue still remains. Because straight acetone can mar the finish of a laminate counter top, test a small inconspicuous area first. Apply the acetone product and allow it to sit on the dried glue approximately 20 minutes or slightly longer. Wash the residue off with a soft cloth or sponge and soapy warm water.
