How Do You Get Stains Out Of Vintage Quilts And Other Fabrics?

0

I sell vintage quilts on Ebay that are purchased at estate and garage sales. I will buy the quilt if it is free of rips, holes and tears. Stains are acceptable when the price is right and I’m confident that I’ll be able to get them out. Through trial and error I’ve become pretty good at removing stains. I use this method when all the retail cleaners fail. Use this on light colored fabrics only such as white, off white and light beige. Saturate the area to be treated with water. You may want to fill the washing machine with cold water and soak the whole quilt. Fill the measuring cup with 1/4 bleach and 1/4 water. Mix thoroughly. Soak a Q-tip in the water bleach solution and dab on stain. Repeat this process as many times as necessary. I sometimes have to do it several times, but it works like a charm.
