In order to play any of the expansion packs for Sims 2, you have to have the base game installed. The base game is being sold right now as part of the Sims 2 Double Deluxe, which includes the Base game, the Nightlife Expansion pack and the Celebration Stuff pack. (The base game was also sold alone as just The Sims 2 and part of the Sims 2 Deluxe pack. Any of these versions count as the base game.) Once you have the base game installed, you can install and play any of the other expansion or stuff packs, including Seasons.

You need Sims 2 the actual game you could either get Sims 2 Deluxe or Sims 2 Double Deluxe they both come with some extra things or you could just buy the regular Sims 2 check online or at the store I got Sims 2 Double Deluxe at Wal-Mart very good and it even comes with Sims 2 Body Shop!
