How Do You Get Shoe Polish Out Of Carpet?
If you ever spill black shoe polish on your new carpet, you can use this technique to clean it out. Dissolve one teaspoon of Oxy 10 laundry cleaner in a cup of hot water. Dip the cloth in the hot water / cleaner mixture. Put the cloth onto the damaged carpet and rub hard. Repeat 3 or 4 times. This should remove the shoe polish and put the carpet back in its original condition. If it doesn’t work 100%, repeat. Make certain that the water is hot as the cleaner works best with hot water. With the 2nd clean cloth, soak up the extra liquid from the carpet. Then, let it air dry.
