How Do You Get Rid Of Yeast Infection In Dogs Ears?

I have had two GSD’s with this problem. Some GSD’s like mine have one ear or both ears suseptable to yeast infection because the ears do not rid themselves of ear wax. This is caused by an ear canal not shaped normally. Both my GSD’s have an ear canal that dips down and straightens again, leading to a build up of wax in the ear. Yeast infection and ear mites both seem similiar in symptoms but in an GSD the yeast infection is the likely cause. Since I have found out about my GSDs’ problem, the vet showed me how to clean out the ‘bad’ ears. I use epioptic fluid (a real stout squirt- not just a drop or two) directly in the ear and two-ply tissues. Put your pointer finger in the tissue and insert into the ear. You can’t reach their ear drum to hurt it…it is deep inside the dog’s head not at the bottom of the actual ear. You need to clean it out by rubbing out the wax, use the epioptic at least two times per cleaning and clean the ears every two weeks- the whole dog’s life. If you do this
