Hello they really can be a nuisance, where I live it stays warm until at least the end of Nov.You can keep ants out of your kitchen by squeezing lemon juice on the window sills and doorways.For the ones that have found their way into the kitchen already then if you do not have pets or or small children then you can get rid of them borax and confectioners sugar. Add enough water to make a syrup, pour a little of this mixture into old jars and place them in your cupboards where you have seen the ants. You can also place the jars in corners and behind appliances.
