Tomato juice baths have been a popular option for years, but they are largely ineffective compared to the odor-removing powers of hydrogen peroxide and baking soda. Add the grease-fighting power of liquid soap and you have an effective and inexpensive skunk odor remover. Prepare your bucket of warm water (if needed), put on your gloves, apron or coveralls and gather all your towels and supplies so they are within easy reach. Mix the baking soda and the dish washing liquid together. Add the peroxide and stir. Remove your dog’s collar. Pour no more than half the mixture over your dog, taking care not to get it in his eyes.
