How Do You Get Rid Of Sidewalk Weeds For Good?
This one-shot-does-it-all method uses concrete patch to keep weeds from growing back for years (maybe longer, but it has worked for several years for me already). Concrete patch is more expensive than using salt or vinegar or boiling water, but you only have to do it once for results that last a long time. Also, if you have a flat roof where plants are sprouting and/or growing, you can also pull out those plants and fill in the space with a small amount of concrete patch there with good results. Pull weeds out of the area that is to be filled in. Clear away any loose dirt with a broom or brush so that you have a clean area to patch. Competely fill the area where the weeds were with the concrete patch; cover the space with a temporary barrier and allow the patch to dry thoroughly–about 48 hours depending on the weather.
