How Do You Get Rid Of Rust Stains In White Clothes?
Rust stains appear in the most difficult places to remove them, particularly on clothes. White clothing seems to attract stains inherently, so the combination of the two only seems to make perfect sense. If rust happens to find its way to white clothing there’s no need to worry. There are several tried-and-true methods that can leave the clothing appearing as though the stain was never there to begin with. Boil the clothes in a large pot with cream of tartar. Use 2 tbsp. cream of tartar to 1 gallon of water. Allow the clothes to boil for 15 minutes before laundering as usual. Cut a lemon in half and rub it on the stain to get the area damp. Sprinkle salt on the lemon juice and scrub the stain with a clean, dry white cloth. Allow the garment to sit in the sun for at least an hour to dry and then launder as usual.
