How do you get rid of a sulphur smell in well water?

0

I have well water. I have lived here for five years, and I have replaced the pressure tank once since I lived here, but that is about all of the maintenance that I have ever done to the well. I have always had hard water, and it is my understanding that is pretty common with all well water. The water has a very high pH, which some people claim is better for your health than a lower pH, but the mineral content is becoming a problem in terms of fixtures. I do know that it is a very shallow well, and this is part of the reason for the excessive mineral content. The mineral bed gets stirred up easily when pumping water from the well. Recently, I have begun to notice a sulphur smell, like rotten eggs, coming from water out of the faucet in the kitchen sink and the shower. I don’t think that the sulphur smell is particularly dangerous, but I am wondering why it suddenly started appearing and what I can do to get rid of it.
