The neti pot is a good idea. Incase you don’t know what that is all about it is a special container that you put “sea salt” in with some water and pore it in one nostril as it goes out the other. Some will get in your throat so expect that. A neti pot is a bit expensive but you can also use a new unused ear bulb cleaner found in most pharmacies. Sea salt can be found in most pharmacies and health food stores as well. If the sinus infection is already bad then anti-biotics is a necessity. Use the sea salt bulb before the sinus condition strikes in the future. It’s healthy to use on a semi-regular basis. Also, try the steam and “Vicks” thing. It will at least help the situation. If you let your sinuses continue to get worse it will devastate you more and more each year. I had it for about 7 months before I turned to polyp removal surgery. You need antibiotics whether you want to take them or not. A sinus infection is not a virus and will get worse. To avoid sinus infections in the future get saline nasal sprays. They keep the sinuses moist and flush out bacteria.
