How Do You Get Rid Of A Babys Neck Rash?
Babies are susceptible to many skin conditions, including the reddish rash that often develops in deep creases on the body, most often in the neck. This rash is caused by moisture that accumulates, from things like sweat, spit up, and drool. Make sure to wash the area well. Avoid fancy scented soap, or skip the soap all together, as it can cause irritation. Warm water and a washcloth will work fine. After washing, be sure to dry and air it out very thoroughly. This is key! You may find this very hard to do, because of the location of the crease. One suggestion is to dangle something very interesting above the baby to keep him/her occupied while you tend to it. Another suggestion (if the baby has neck strength or is crawling) is to put the baby on his/her belly. Then tend to naturally stretch their neck out to look up when in this position. Do whatever you need to do to keep the area exposed for a good drying. You may wish to apply cornstarch to the area, being careful not to get it in
