How Do You Get Recruited To Play College Volleyball?
Learn how to stand out from the hundreds of thousands of high school volleyball players in the United States. Take steps to help get to the next level and a place on an NCAA volleyball team. Play on a club team. Most seasons go from November to June; you’ll give college coaches more opportunities to come and see you play. You’ll also hone your skills and make valuable connections with other players and coaches. Create a recruiting video. Avoid sending long game tapes to coaches, who do not have the time to watch hours of footage to try to pick you out. Put together clips of you doing drills demonstrating key skills. Include forearm and overhead passing, hitting, blocking, and serving, and demonstrate your footwork. Include key game clips. Present yourself as a coachable player. No matter how good you are in high school, your college coach is looking for someone he or she can guide to the next level.
