If your toddler is like most, he or she is probably a bit of a picky eater. Even foods they once loved cause them to turn their nose up. Here are some ways to get them to eat healthier and more of a variety. Offer foods that your toddler can eat by themselves. Often, the appeal of feeding themselves can help food seem more appealing. Also, make food fun. Offer them sauces to dip food into, or make fun foods like “ants on a log” (celery with peanut butter and raisins). You can also cut foods into different fun shapes with cookie cutters. Allow them to participate in the meal preparation. This gets them excited about food, and a picky eater is more likely to try a new food if they have seen how it is prepared, and helped with the preparation. Share a plate with them. The appeal of eating food that someone else is eating is sometimes enough to get a child to eat an undesirable food. Set a good example. If you eat well and eat a wide variety of healthy foods, your children will observe tha
