How Do You Get Paint Off A Motorcycle Muffler?
For many motorcycle enthusiasts, the chrome elements on their bike are one of their favorite design features. If paint accidentally spilled onto your motorcycle’s muffler or if the entire muffler was intentionally painted, it can be restored to its shiny metallic surface. with the right product and just a few simple steps. Soak a sponge in paint thinner and wring it out until it is slightly damp but not dripping. Apply the thinner to the areas of the muffler affected by paint. Place a plastic bag over the muffler and secure in place with tape. Allow the paint thinner to sit overnight. Remove the plastic bag and scrape the surface of the chrome lightly with the plastic paint scraper. Use the nylon brush to wipe away the flaking paint and further help to loosen the paint. Wipe the muffler with a cloth dampened with water to remove the final bits of paint. Using a clean cloth, rinse the muffler with water. Dry with a cloth to prevent water spots from forming on the chrome.
