How Do You Get Overspray Off Tires?
Keeping a set of tires clean is no easy task. Tires constantly make surface contact with dirty roads, mud, rock and a host of other elements. Chemical, paint or adhesive overspray soiling is another bothersome occurrence that happens occasionally. Typically, overspray is removed regularly from windshields and body paint, but removing overspray from tires is much simpler due to their dense rubber structure. Step 1 Pour hot water into a 5 gallon bucket and add about two capfuls of bleach and a cup of dishwashing detergent. Mix together thoroughly. Step 2 Scrub the initial surface dirt off the tires with a dampened rag. Rub the tires in a circular motion, using firm pressure on overspray marks and other blemishes. Step 3 Scrub the tires vigorously using the nylon scrub brush. Wet the tires with the soapy water again and make a thick lather. Step 4 Spray the soapy tires with rubber/vinyl cleaner.
