How Do You Get Nasal Congestion Relief?
Few things are more annoying and uncomfortable than a stuffy nose. Nasal congestion can occur from many causes, but usually from allergies, a cold or the flu. Here are some ways to get nasal congestion relief. As soon as you start to notice a nasal congestion, begin using a nasal irrigation system with pure saline. The easiest way to do this is to use a purchased kit such as “nasaline” or a “neti pot”. If you do not have one at home, you can do this on your own by using a measuring cup, dissolving 1/2 teaspoon kosher or sea salt (not iodized salt) into 8 ounces lukewarm water. Stand over a sink and tilt your head to one side, trying to have one ear pointed to the ceiling and one pointed toward the sink. Very slowly pour the salt mixture into your top nostril (the one pointed toward the ceiling). The salt water will pour into that nostril and out of the other.
