Nail glue is primarily used to bond artificial nails or reinforce natural fingernails. This effective adhesive can last for weeks if given the chance. Simply laundering the article of clothing isn’t always enough to completely remove the adhesive, but a simple household remedy will help. Nail polish removers are composed mainly of acetone, the key ingredient for removing nail glue. Work in a well-ventilated area to prevent inhaling hazardous fumes emitted by the acetone. Dampen a cotton ball with a small amount of nail polish remover, but do not soak it. Dab the spot of nail glue lightly with the acetone until it starts to come loose.
