Microsoft Outlook Express allows you to easily download all your emails from your email server onto your desktop. Once downloaded, you can read and type replies to these emails offline, and then send them when you go online again. Links in the Outlook Express messages can be directly opened in the Internet browser by clicking on them. To open these links using the Internet Explorer browser, set it as the default browser. Click on “Start” and then click on “Control Panel.” Double-click on the Internet Options icon on the Control Panel window. Click on the “Programs” tab of the Internet Options dialog box that opens. Click to select the “Internet Explorer should check to see if it is the default browser” option. Click on “Apply” and then click on “OK.” Open Internet Explorer. You will be asked if you want to make Internet Explorer your default browser. Click on the “Yes” button. Now click on the link in Outlook Express and it will be opened using the Internet Explorer.
