How Do You Get Limewire Working On A Vista System Running Mcafee Security Suite?
• Start Limewire. • Go to Tools on the menu bar, then to Options and click Advanced. • Select Firewall Configuration on the right hand side under Router Configuration you will see 3 buttons. • Choose the middle button labeled Manual Port Forward, don’t change the number, but record it or take a note of it. • Click the Ok or Apply button. Exit Limewire. Open your McAfee Security Center Configuration. • Double Click the M icon near your time to open McAfee. • Click Internet & Network. • Click Configur • Select Firewall Protection and click Advanced. • Choose System Services • Click on Add to configure a new port. • Make the following selections under Add Port Configuration: • Program name: Lime. • Program category: (leave blank). • The next 4 port descriptions all get the number your recorded from Limewire: • Incoming TCP/IP ports • Outgoing TCP/IP ports • Incoming UDP ports, • Outgoing UDP ports. • Description: (leave blank). • Click Ok. • Close McAfee Security Center Restart your compu
