How Do You Get Kool-Aid Stains Out Of Oriental Rugs?
Many revere their Oriental rugs as an investment. That being said, a stain marring its elegant appearance can seem catastrophic. Kool-Aid is a popular drink amongst kids that comes in a variety of different fun flavors and colors. While Kool-Aid has a fun look to it in glasses or curly straws, it does nothing to compliment the rich tones of your Oriental rug. A little know-how and quick thinking is required when it comes to getting rid of these brightly colored stains. Blot up as much of the Kool-Aid as possible with a clean cloth or paper towels. Be careful not to wipe or scrub as this will only push the Kool-Aid around and make the stain bigger. Dip a clean cloth in warm soapy water. Press the cloth to the stain for 15 seconds. Allow the area to sit for 2 to 3 minutes. Blot up excess soapy water with a clean dry cloth. Mix one part of white vinegar with two parts of water. Dip a clean cloth in the solution.
