The best way to do it is get your feet shoulder width apart. What you can do, if you’re a right-handed fighter, you’re going to slide your right foot straight back, keep it underneath your hip. You’ll turn your back foot at a forty-five degree angle with your upper body. Now, I’m going to have it lock my legs out, and then I have a slight bend in my legs. I don’t want to bend too much because it’s going to be harder for me to move. So, it’s just going to be a slight bend in your legs. I’ll bring my hands up from a natural position right here and I’ll be, my lead foot will be facing my opponent, and I’ll be right here. This is my basic stance.
