How do you get from SF to Muir Woods on Public transportation?
Other than the Golden Gate Transit summer shuttle, the only way to get directly to Muir Woods without a car is to join an organized tour. However, Marin Stagecoach can get you pretty close to Muir Woods. From the Marin City Transit Center, board the Route 61 stagecoach. Get off at Pantoll Ranger station. From here, it is only about a half mile hike to the northern end of the woods.
