Here’s an insiders guide to successfully getting your free tickets. Though tickets are free for Shakespeare in the Park, actually obtaining them can be a chore. Tickets go on sale at 1PM the day of the show (all shows begin at 8PM). But, don’t think you can show up at 1PM and get a ticket. Free can take a little bit of work, but it’s worth it. You can get your free tickets at the Delacorte Theatre in Central Park or at The Public Theatre near Astor Place. The Delacorte Theatre is located on the southern end of Central Park.
