How Do You Get Enough Rest (In High School)?

• Sleep earlier. It may seem silly, but teenagers need at least 8 hours of sleep per night. A good nine hours is reccommended. This means if you have to wake up at 6:30 AM, you have to go to sleep at 9:30 AM. It might seem unnatural to sleep so early, but it’ll improve your mood in the morning and you will wake up feeling refreshed. • Stop hitting the snooze button. If your snoozing habits are getting too bad, it may help to put the alarm clock all the way across the room, out of your reach. You will get up to turn off the alarm, so why not get ready, too? Plan beforehand. Pack your backpack the night before so you have more time in the morning. Staple your homework and get that permission slip signed, too. This gives you a minute more of breakfast or even shut-eye. This will help you do better in school, since some people are aware of things during nighttime so they remember to do things.
