How Do You Get Deodorant Or Antiperspirant Stains Out Of White Shirts?
Deodorant and antiperspirants can cause stains on the underarm area of your shirts. The same ingredients that make the products effective, aluminum salts, are the same ingredients that act with sweat to form the unsightly stains on your shirt. Luckily, you can easily remove the stains without too much trouble. Mix 1/2 cup of baking soda with enough warm water to form a runny paste in a bowl or cup. Apply the paste on the shirt’s stains and rub it with a toothbrush. Let the paste sit for a couple of hours. Launder the shirt according to the tag’s instruction. Dry the shirt outside in the sun. The sun will add in bleaching to the shirt. Crush two aspirin pills and mix them with a 1/2 cup of hot water in a bowl or cup. Pour the solution on the stains. Try to concentrate the solution only on the stains, but if it runs to other areas of the shirt it won’t hurt it. Let the solution sit for a few hours. Launder the shirt as directed.
