How Do You Get Classes Added To High School Curriculum?
• Learn about the course. Search for names of the course and where it is offered so that you can be informed when you speak with your school administration. • Find others who are interested. Most schools require a minimum number of students to join or be interested in a class for it to be offered. Know this number and get together with a group of students who are also interested (and hopefully there are enough!) • Find out costs and compare it to your school’s budget. In many cases, a class is not offered simply due to costs. Be sure that the school can afford it as this gives you a much greater chance of getting the class included for the next year. • Talk to a counselor or administrator about having the class added.
