Over time, the artificial turf tears and disintegrates, making removal necessary. Homeowners often decide not to replace the artificial turf and instead seal and stain the concrete flooring for an updated look. Removing artificial turf is as easy as picking up an end and pulling, but removing the carpet glue from the concrete requires considerably more effort. Sweep the porch to remove dust, dirt and loose glue particles. Mop the porch with hot water to help loosen the glue. Use a scraper to remove as much of the glue as you can lift without damaging the concrete. Apply a commercial chemical adhesive remover to the remaining glue spots.
