How Do You Get Candle Wax Out Of Wool Carpet?
A well-made wool carpet will look beautiful and last for years. Wool is a sensitive fiber and must be treated, cleaned and maintained carefully. Mistreatment of wool carpeting will result in ruining the carpet fibers and permanently altering the appearance of the carpet. Use supplies from home and extra care to remove spilled candle wax from your wool carpet. When you’ve finished the task, your carpet will be clean and stain-free once again. Scrape up as much as you can of the hardened candle wax using a butter or table knife. Cut a brown paper grocery bag into pieces large enough to cover the candle-wax stain on your wool carpet. Lay one piece of brown paper over the candle-wax stain. Rub the brown paper with a clothing iron set on medium. Continue to do this as the wax transfers from the wool carpeting to the brown paper. Change to a new piece of paper and continue to iron until there’s no further transfer of wax to paper. Sprinkle baking soda on the remnants of the candle-wax stain.
