The scenarios in which candle wax ends up in hair are endless, but getting it out may seem impossible. Wax can be removed by making it liquid again with heat (but not open flame) or dissolving it with a substance that will permeate and dissolve wax. Sandwich the hair with wax in between two paper towels. Use a hot setting on the blow dryer and direct the air at the hair wrapped in the paper towel. Squeeze the hair in the paper towel as the wax melts, absorbing as much wax as you can with the paper towels. Turn or replace the paper towels to keep a clean, absorbent surface next to the wax in the hair. Remove the paper towels. Pour a small amount of mineral oil onto a paper towel.
