1. Spray dried paint with hair spray (does not necessarily need to be hairspray – the ingredient in the spray is Isopropyl (rubbing) alcohol) – the cheap stuff works as well as expensive brands. 2. Rub the dried paint with another rag – or just use your fingernail. 3. Rub and spray until the paint liquefies or starts to loosen up. Just don’t rub hard enough – like on shirts – to put a hole in the fabric. 4. Do laundry as usual. If the paint isn’t totally gone, (mine usually is) don’t put in the dryer. Line dry and use hair spray again. Another method is to use rubbing alcohol directly on paint or diluted. This works even on set in stains, but may remove some of the fabric’s color if scrubbed too hard. Warnings Do this soon after getting paint on clothes. If you leave it sitting on for awhile, this method may not work.
