Part of any inline skater’s troubles is the inevitable cracking of a bearing. The little steel circles in the wheels may seem tough as nails, but after the stress of bearing your body weight while spinning the wheels, some damage can occur. It can be frustrating when trying to change your bearings, but with a little patience and some know-how, changing them up can become a rather easy task. Use the cloth to wipe any debris around the skate axles. Use the Allen wrench to loosen the axle on the wheel closest to the toe of the skate. Remove the axle and set aside. Pull the wheel loose. Insert the appropriately sized end of the bearing tool into one of the bearings. Use a similar sized bolt if you don’t have the tool. Pull the bearing loose and set aside, then remove the other bearing on the opposite side of the wheel. Continue removing all the wheels on each skate in this manner until all have been removed.
