How do you get Baoppu (or Yanappu or Hiyappu) before the Sanyou Gym?
Before going to the Gym, you can stop by the Dream Ruins to the east of Sanyou City. Fight through some Trainers and then there will be a person back there that will give you one of the three elemental monkeys. He’ll give you Baoppu if you started with Mijumaru, Yanappu if you started with Pokabu, or Hiyappu if you started with Tsutaja. The one he gives you will be Super Effective against the Gym Leader in Sanyou City and is really helpful to use in the fight.
