How Do You Get An International Driving License In India?
An international driving license is recognized by many countries and provides travelers with the flexibility of renting a car and exploring the area. In the U.S., travelers considering driving abroad are encouraged to apply for an international driver’s permit stateside because the application can be processed locally or by mail and the permit it is valid from one year of issue. A traveler already in India may apply in-person for an international driving license by visiting select government offices and submitting additional authenticated documentation such as birth certificate, visa and passport.
